ITIL Software Scheme Criteria Published

The APM Group, the Official Accreditor for the ITIL Software Scheme, has published the criteria that software vendors need to meet in order for their software tools to be recognized by the scheme.

The mandatory assessment criteria come into force on 1st September 2010 and all software tools assessed from that date forward need to meet the documented criteria for the software tool, automation and documentation.

Richard Pharro, CEO, The APM Group said, "It is our aim to make the Official ITIL Software Scheme accessible to all tool vendors who would like to participate. Following the first 6 months of operation we have received feedback that publishing the criteria that vendors have to meet in order to achieve endorsed status will provide greater transparency and greater confidence in the scheme" The criteria are now published on the official ITIL website
