ITIL Live: Toolkit and Knowledge Base

Key to the success of ITIL Live is its commitment to practical, hands-on support and the way it offers all users ways to become more closely involved with the ITIL community. The Toolkit and Free Knowledge Base both make an important contribution to these aims, by providing access to a range of support tools and supplementary materials designed both to help users implement ITIL V3 and broaden their understanding of the guidance and its context.

How do they differ? The Toolkit concentrates on offering detailed, value adding content and support. It has been set up as a simple access point so that subscribers can navigate the large amount of value-adding material easily and quickly. Continually updated, the Toolkit provides immediate access to templates, the unique ITIL Live self-assessment Maturity Model, VISIO diagrams of process models, white papers on specific aspects of implementation and an interactive “ask the expert” e-learning function, currently in development.

The Knowledge Base is free to all and offers a broader range of support and information than the Toolkit. It is a forum for news articles on ITIL, events listings and testimonials. You can also find further information on related standards, such as ISO 20000, COBIT and Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as background information on ITSMF.

We welcome contributions to the Knowledge Base and invite you to send in white papers, news articles, events listings and case studies. Appearing as part of the free content, where appropriate these pieces can carry the originator’s organizational logo and website link.

To find out more about how to contribute, please contact the Knowledge Base Editor BPL@tso.co.uk
